I started out with a small dining table that I bought second hand.
The table measures 30" x 48".
I cut a hole in the table, a bit bigger than my sewing machine. I then used 2 pieces of 1x4 and L-brackets to mount the piece cut from the top as a shelf for the machine to set on.
The 1x4's were the perfect height to make the bed of the sewing machine even with the top of the table.
I then enlisted my father to help cut the piece of acrylic (plexiglas), to the right size to fit around my machine and in the hole. This took a bit of work to get it just right but we managed. We then used the router to create a lip for the acrylic to fit even with the table top. Insert the machine and we are ready to sew!
Here are a few more pics of my sewing space.
Some of my fabric storage. Only some I must say.
I was given these three figurines, depicting the making of a quilt from spinning to washing to quilting.
A wall hanging I made a couple of years ago. I loved doing the Bargello pattern.
My design wall.
Well, I'm now officially worn out and ready for bed. 4:30 will come awfully early in the morning. Hope ya'll have a great night and until next time, quilt on!
