Wintery Cold and Quilting 101

Hey ya'll.  It's been a yucky wintery day here in the mountains of western North Carolina.  I've been plugging right along on my quilt for A Mountain Quiltfest in Pigeon Forge.  I've almost got the main top together, then I'll be ready to add appliques.  Sorry, I still can't give you a picture yet.  You'll just have to wait until after it is submitted.

I've been busy working on my class schedule for this year as well and I'm happy to say that Quilting 101 will begin on Tuesday, May 3, 2016!
I'm so excited to have another group of great students join me as we delve into the world of quilting.  For a complete schedule and to register, please visit my website at www.crusoquilter.com/quilting101. This 6 session course gives you a complete introduction to quilting from machine basics, to selecting fabrics, to quilting and binding.  You will even get to make your first complete quilt in Quilting 101.  You'll want to sign up quickly, because space is limited!

I'm also working on my Advanced Technique series for this year.  There will be 3 advanced quilting classes in 2016, August, September, and October.  You won't want to miss those either.  Stay tuned for more details on the classes.

I've got a large pot of homemade soup on the stove for supper tonight and I'm going to go make a cake of cornbread to go with it then I'll be back to sewing for the night.  Stay warm!

Until next time, quilt on!
